My experience of the hiring process took over two and a half months, and during that time I repeatedly felt like I was prompting the talent specialist to move the process along. I am not sure how the talent department is staffed (is the department just one person?) but the individual assigned to the role I applied for disappeared for weeks at a time. Applied in early May. Initial screening with talent specialist end of May. Panel interview with fundraising staff end of June. Received the thank you, no thank you email first week of August. (Received the email later the same day after I left my second voicemail inquiring about the status of the search.) In summary, the process was ridiculous and unprofessional. No one should be strung along for over two and a half months.
