Interview followed a standard interview processed. I applied online and heard back no later than a week. In-person interview with only 1 round. Was asked about my experience and discussed the roles of the job
I spoke with 2 people, I liked both of them. Unfortunatley to me it was not a good culture fit. It was not remote and I just could not drive 45 minutes each way 5 days per week. While I have good IT skills and adept with data, they wanted me to build something that I thought I could do, but it would be a very intense project as their data is complex and hard to connect. The time driving back and forth along with long hours and having kids at home was daunting. The interviewers were excellent. I hope they get someone who can be fully committed.
Misleading recruitment and interview practices.
Applied for a full-time, permanent position as advertised.
• Initial screening call: interviewer no-showed once, then arrived 30 minutes late to rescheduled call, only after I reached out.
• Completed interviews; rather than the full time position that was advertised, I was offered a short-term contract tied to program licensing. There had been no mention of this in the advertisement or interviews.
• I responded to the offer and received no communication. While offer was still pending, position was reposted.
Tip: Confirm job terms early and be aware of possible communication delays.
