Nice people, had fun chatting, very easy going. Present yourself more. Show your personality a bit more than your work. Interview questions are more focused on real world situation rather than portfolio.

Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Compass.
Entrevista
Applied online and a recruiter reached out to set up a phone interview. The interview took about 20 min. Went over my qualifications and background, as well as what the role would look like day-to-day. We didn't go over my work, though I was able to ask some questions towards the end.

Why do you want to work at Compass?

Entrevista
Screening phone call with a recruiter. Followed by three 1:1s with various future teammates. Was mostly asked design questions and to review pieces in my portfolio online. Final interview with a non-design employee to make sure I was a “culture-fit.” Very easy conversation, not meant to intimidate. Then my references were called up and I was given a formal offer after being notified on the phone by the in-house recruiter.
Recruiter was great. Timeline was super short (less than 2 weeks). Was given two days to decide on whether I was taking the job in a state that I would have to move to. Although that was stress-inducing, the team reached out in the meantime to help with any questions and moving advice which was awesome.
Note: now that designers are WFH, you’re not expected to live in the city/area you serve—only the time zone.
