Me postulé el puesto y se contactaron conmigo para una entrevista. Me pidieron realizar un proyecto bastante simple sobre el análisis de datos similares. Cuando lo envíe, después de varios días me descartaron sin darme razones ni hacerme una entrevista para explicar mi proyecto (ya que al test hay que dedicarle 4 horas). Ni siquiera un mensaje personalizado por parte de un empleado agradeciendo por el tiempo, sino el típico template que se envía desde la plataforma.

Had 2 interviews and then a day onsite at their office in New York. The phone interviews went by fine and I was still interested in working at Compass up till this time. Then came the onsite. This was probably one of the worst onsite experiences I've had. Not because of the difficulty, but the interviewers themselves. The first round was an algorithm coding interview, and while the algorithm itself wasn't particularly difficult, I had a few bugs in the code that I wrote. There was no whiteboard and so I had to write it on a piece of paper during which the interviewer was quite arrogant and downright condescending about this code, even though it was on paper. Quite possibly the single worst interviewer I've ever had, all in the first interview in my day of interviews. The other rounds were lackluster. I didn't particularly vibe or gel super well with others but compared to the first interviewer it was fine. Then I met the director of one of their engineering teams during which the first 30 minutes was essentially an interrogation of why I'm looking to switch into Software Engineering. I kept having to justify myself, my choices, and my decisions. Frustrating when this could quite possibly have to be your manager. It was by this point I had decided I wasn't going to be working at this company regardless of whether I received an offer or not. The rest of the interviews went by alright. Extremely poor onsite interview experience. I had read others' similar experiences interviewing here from a while ago and I had hoped that they would've ironed out these kinks. Nope, they're still existent. Compass, you need to work on training your employees on how to properly conduct interviews. Until then, you risk losing talent over these things that are quite fixable.
