I interviewed with CIS in January 2014. I started with a phone interview and then about a week later I came in for an in-person interview. Advice to candidates: I do not recommend applying to or working for this Company. The person in charge of recruiting was not very forthcoming with me throughout the process. I interviewed with the company after a referral. The phone interview was normal. Tell me about yourself. Why do you want to work in the bio/pharma industries? Why do you want to work here? After about a week I moved on to an in-person interview. The interview was very reasonable. The VPs and managers were very kind and respectful. None of their questions were very difficult. The office had a laid back culture about it. Jeans casual dress was the norm. I thought it was a nice clean office space in a comfortable business park. They just wanted to know about your background, asked some behavioral questions to see how you would respond to typical situations, they wanted to know about your interests and why you would be a good fit for their team. After my interview I received very positive feedback. I had another interview around the same time and to be respectful I wanted to give my response after hearing out the other company. The HR recruiter and I agreed on a date to give an answer by. By the specified date I came to the conclusion that I wanted to work for CIS. The HR person said she would relay this information to the business leaders and get back to me. For 4 weeks I would ask for updates on whether the HR person had heard from the business leaders. She said a snow storm had come through which delayed scheduling and prevented the company from formally extending me an offer. (Mind you the other company I interviewed was in an area with an even worse snow storm yet they were still able to extend me an offer). Eventually she told me that the company had changed its mind and that its business needs changed. I will say this was an employee referral and not a response to a formal posting online. While disappointed I continued to pursue the company due to my strong interest in the industry and to work in consulting. About a month later I was told that the team was ramping up for hires and collecting resumes. So I resubmitted. I heard nothing. So I followed up with the HR person about a month after that after seeing actual job postings online. Given my positive interview experience I thought it would be a smooth transition into the newly opened roles. Approximately a month after submitting for the roles, the recruiter told me once again that she did not have any open roles even though there were postings online. Even now the same postings are still on the website 3 months after the fact. The company seemed to string me along with a false interest in my candidacy. I will say this as well: Please look at the other reviews.
