I applied online after learning about their technology in class. HR reached out to me and scheduled a phone call. After that, I interviewed with a C-level executive. Following this, there was a 3-month long stretch before planning a site visit and final interview with CTO. The lab tour was good, but the conversation with another C-level executive was somewhat awkward. Before I even sat down, they threw their business card across the table. I asked them about their experience and they kept rambling on and on. They then asked me about my motivation for the position and upon giving an honest answer, they said, “wow that’s so perfect, I feel like someone taught you that.” This is honestly condescending and left a bad taste in my mouth. After the interview, HR did not get back with a decision until 3 weeks, which also required following up multiple times.
