I was invited to attend two interview stages in the office. From the very first call with the recruiter, I clearly stated my expected salary, and I repeated the same expectations at every in-office stage. During the interviews, they repeatedly tried to determine whether I urgently needed a job, seemingly to negotiate my expected salary downward. However, I made it clear that my financial expectations were not negotiable. In addition, I was promised a final decision within one week, but instead I only received a short email three weeks later saying they decided to move forward with another candidate. Overall, this process feels unprofessional and poorly managed. It appears that my salary expectations were never realistically aligned with their budget from the beginning, especially considering they are still hiring for this role.
