      Entrevista para Recruiter

      3 de out. de 2018
      Funcionário(a) sigiloso(a)
      Oferta aceita
      Experiência negativa
Entrevista com nível médio de dificuldade

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 6 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela ContractRecruiter.com em ago. de 2018

      Entrevista

The interview process was long and required a real-world sourcing exercise that included having a "mock" intake call with the president of the company and sourcing candidates. The whole process involved at least 4 phone calls, most of which were at least an hour. Then references had to be checked which took a week

      Oferta recusada

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me de outra forma. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa ContractRecruiter.com.

      Entrevista

The company was fundamentally fraudulent in its interview process: I applied and then it took forever for them to get me the video interview. I did that, which was followed by a sourcing exercise and then a 'mock' intake meeting with the Hiring Manager, which I then used to finetune the candidates I sourced All went well, I was told I did well compared to others, and they said it was contingent incoming business. Months later, and it was full-on crickets with no new business or anything. My guess is that they did the sourcing exercise so that they could get help with their search without having to pay me and they had no intentions of bringing anyone on board in the first place. These kinds of tactics are fundamentally disgusting and deceitful If you plan to interview with them, I'd grill them very hard on whether they actually need people or else you'll waste your time and work for free!

      Pergunta 1

Generally about how you'd approach an intake call when a role becomes available and then the video interview has behavioral questions

I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. Let's pause for a moment and see what is really happening behind the scenes. In regard to our mock sourcing exercise, we ask candidates to show us 3 LinkedIn profiles that best match a job description. Believe it or not, this seemingly simple little 15 minute exercise trips up most recruiters. Now let's apply some common sense to your allegation that we are using this to get "free sourcing". Showing us 3 LinkedIn profiles certainly does not qualify as Sourcing. Sourcing is a time-consuming process that involves working with a recruiter over a period of days or weeks to find hundreds (or more) of candidates that are calibrated to a vetted job description. We asked you to do none of that. In regard to us not hiring you, we too have been a victim of the rollercoaster that this job market has taken all of us on. Last year, the labor market was sky-high, and recruiters could not be hired fast enough. Then last summer, the bubble burst and recruiters were let go by the thousands. Over the past 8 months we have had to slog through this incredible downturn in volume. Since we are an RPO, we rarely interview for a current need, but instead keep a "bench" of recruiters in the wings for when new business rolls in. We are crystal clear about this when we interview recruiters. Sometimes business is brisk and we hire recruiters off the bench in a matter of days or weeks. Other times, like now, business is slow and aren't able to bring in new recruiters. I am guessing that your frustration and anger isn't really aimed at our company, but rather at the industry as a whole, as you are most likely one of the thousands of recruiters who were released when the bubble burst, and like most other recruiters are having trouble getting re-employed. I would suggest that you keep you chin up and approach this difficult job market with more positive focus and energy. Blaming and deflecting is like mental quicksand and will take you down instead of up. There's a ton of positive inspiration to found out on social media - bask yourself in that which will inspire you and propel you forward. If you would like to discuss further, then please feel free to reach out to me or any other member of the executive team here at ContractRecruiter.com.
