I applied online and got a call back to schedule an interview. I went in the day after and met with a man. He seemed really nice. He introduced me to the product we would be marketing- makeover essentials. He said it was manufactured by the same factory as Estee Lauder and that it was a luxury brand. After our chat, I was invited for a 2nd interview to be held the following day.
The following day, we had a group session, we learned more about direct marketing and were given a quiz afterward. Then we met with the hiring manager, she said she would call me later that evening if I got the job.
I got a call the following day. I got the job. I would be receiving $400/week to start.
I declined the offer as I had received a better offer from another company.
Few things to note:
-This is basically a sales position. You will approach random individuals to make sales.
-I asked if it was a 40 hour week and was told yes, but was later told it was 8:30 - 6pm and 6 days a week.
-They pay $400/week only during the training period after which you will only be paid commission on sales.
-You are going to be hired as an independent contractor.
-Google makeover essentials if you're asked to market this brand. It's important to have information on brands you represent.
