I was interviewed by a consultant first for about an hour and then by the VP & Principal Engineer along with the Manufacturing Engineer Manager for another hour. They walked me through the job expectations and allowed me to speak through my prior experience and how it pertains to the job at hand. They were forthcoming about any questions I had and were honest about the challenges the company is facing and how they would likely affect me in the new position. The time felt like a discussion between professionals about how to solve business problems and the collaboration of ideas as much as it did a job interview.
