I had a call with the recruiter that went very well and she told me she was moving me forward to the next round. I was very qualified and had the niche industry experience they were looking for. A week goes by and I haven't heard, they were slow in their reach out from the time I applied so I wasn't bothered by it. Then out of nowhere I get an automated email telling me the position has been filled. I understand internally hiring happens, however I did not appreciate after speaking with the recruiter personally on the phone for 45 minutes to not even receive an email addressed from her. I emailed her after receiving this just to verify and ask for feedback because I was very qualified. Never heard back. Please treat people as you would like to be treated. If they have spoken with you directly don't send an automated rejection and ghost them. It's disrespectful.
