The person I initially spoke with didn't know some of the basic terminology for this industry such as "biostatistics" and "therapeutic area" that I kind of had to walk her through. I was not provided a job description and when I asked for the roles and responsibilities she stated she wouldn't have the technical aspects of this position. She also thought my previous employer was a pharma company, and even though I explained it was also a CRO and not pharma, I was not able to move to the next step due to "no CRO experience, pharma is second choice." I was also asked about every job I had since college and she asked why I left each one.
