The person who contacts you in response to your applying for the EIC position is just looking for free labor on a 1-day turnaround and to poach your creative talent to use--without payment or your consent--on their site. BE WARNED! Once your "free labor" has been submitted under the guise of writing test, you'll hear crickets from that point forward. Nothing. You'll be ghosted.
