Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. O processo levou 5 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela DISCO em jul. de 2022
Entrevista
Multi-week interview process including a panel presentation. Several interviews with people in a variety of roles.
The initial phone screen raised a yellow flag for me; it was mentioned my desired pay was above the pay band for the role I was applying for but any gap could be made up in bonuses. I asked what the bonuses were based on and was told it was company performance. I didn't feel super great that my pay would be based on metrics that I couldn't control but I continued with the process as the role itself was interesting to me.
I had several 1-on-1 interviews; those were pleasant and had expected questions asked of me. The interviews were friendly and energetic.
After the final interview, I was told I would hear something the following week.
The following week came and went with radio silence. I reached out via email and was told that they were wrapping up feedback from other candidates - that's fine.
This is the kicker - after all of those rounds of interviews, I received an email that they are closing the position and "going a different direction." Not even a phone call after five rounds of interviews? I can handle being passed on for a role but have the courage to reach out to candidates in person.
Did they really close the role? Not sure. I saw the job reposted on LinkedIn.
TL;DR - Take DISCO with a grain of salt. I should have trusted my gut my concerns about the low comp initially were deflected. I ended up being brushed off after final interviews with a dismissive email.
