Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Datadog em mai. de 2019
Entrevista
I was booked for a thirty minute interview with one of the recruiters. It started off quite terribly considering that the recruiter was typing very loudly in the background. After asking me two questions (one which I already had answered, indicating that he was not listening to my responses), at four minutes the interviewer said "That's all I have for you. Do you have any questions for me?" I asked him three questions, which to all he responded with two to three words. At five minutes the interview was done. It was clear that the recruiter had already made his decision about me before we had even spoken. He was disenganged and rude. I was not suprised that after two days I was told that they would not be moving forward with my application. Its a pity that they have such a HR team, as this really hinders their product in the long term,

Initial screening interview lasted a little longer than 20 mins, and took place over Zoom. Recruiter asked me about the experience on my resume, when I'd be available to start, and my expectations for compensation.

What do you know about Datadog? Why do you want to work at Datadog?
Good over all. Five stage interview process ranging in difficulty and assessing different criteria for the job based on previous experiences. Good over all. I think it’s goods but don’t have light thoughts
Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 2 dias. Fui entrevistado pela Datadog (Boston, MA) em out. de 2022

I had a 30 minute HR interview for a SDR role in Boston. I appreciated that Datadog provided discussion points for the call beforehand. Despite being prepared and having an overall productive conversation, I found the NYC recruiter to be beyond rude. When I inquired about company meetings (which wasn't on my list of questions to ask but while I was scrolling to my pre-prepared questions in my word doc, I nervously just asked about company/team meetings) she expressed her judgement to my question with 5+ seconds of obnoxious, very loud, intentional "coughing" that was unmistakably judgement and jumping to conclusions. I felt that the conversation had gone well up until this point. Recruiters have the power to make candidates feel uplifted or torn down during interviews - and this recruiter certainly succeeded in doing the latter. It's unnecessary and unfortunately a terrible look both for her personally and Datadog.
