Entrevista
I applied to the Paris office. The interview process is composed of the following steps:
- 30min phone call with HR
- 1h phone call with the recruiting manager
- you have to do a "SE hiring exercise" that takes about 14-15h to complete. It makes you use Datadog's solution and doing some troubleshooting for clients.
- 3h30 of regular interviews to assess your cultural fit, technical knowledge and coding skills. You have to complete some basic coding exercises. I do not live in Paris, so we did it online using Zoom.
The recruiting sourcer called me a few days after the last step of the recruitment process to tell me that I successfully went through all steps, and that she needed a few more days to confirm my starting date before sending me a contract.
A week goes by, and I haven't heard from her. I emailed her to ask for an update, and she called me back telling me that they finally went with another candidate. I couldn't get any real explanations feedback.
I find it unprofessional not to have kept me informed, and to not have received any proper feedback. After about +20h spent doing exercises and interviews, you don't get any feedback! Unbelievable

After emailing directly my interviewers, I could finally get some proper feedback. I encourage you to do so and bypass the recruiting sourcer.

Entrevista
I had a very disappointing experience with Datadog's recruitment process. After making it to the final round for a Solutions role, I later learned that recruiters had contacted former colleagues at my current company to ask for feedback about me. This information made its way back internally, putting my current job at risk. Not only is this highly unprofessional, but it also raises serious confidentiality concerns. I would caution candidates to be aware of this before applying.

Entrevista
It had 4 phases: HR, HM, Tech Assessment, Panel.
The tech assessment was made with an online platform, and it was really simple.
In the panel I had to talk about a topic where I was good technically and the interviewers acted like customers making questions etc (be really prepared on that). They payed me all the travel expenses since this last one was face-to-face
