Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Day Wireless Systems (Milwaukie, OR).
Entrevista
The interview process is easy if you have the right background and skill set. Especially if you are a technician, journeyman level. The hiring manager delayed but HR was timely.

Entrevista
Very easy and to the point not running around asking things that did not matter. Checked with references and had questions that pertained to the job . I felt like they had a plan before I was contacted.

Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. O processo levou 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela Day Wireless Systems (Milwaukie, OR) em mai. de 2019
Entrevista
The recruiter, Laila, is awesome. She was prompt, genuine, upfront and responsive. I had one phone call with her, another phone call with the CFO of Day Wireless, who also seemed pretty great, sincere and responsive. I was invited to a "final" interview.
First I met with the HR and Payroll teams, who did not have my resume or any prepared questions. It was strange, and a waste of time. They didn't seem to care about who I was or what experience I had. One asked if I got the job, would I stay until I retired. They mainly talked about what a bad manager they previously had and how management does not value their input.
Then I met with the two CEOs and two CFOs of the two companies (Day Wireless and Reliance Connects). The three that I had not spoken to before also had not reviewed my resume and also did not have any prepared questions. When they did ask questions, they asked repeatedly about how I felt about flexible work arrangements (it was clear they are not for them at all), how I felt about not working remotely, and how I would handle people who were tardy every day, because it's very important that everyone work exactly 8-5, no matter what position they are in. They said they needed someone to advocate for management because HR has been doing everything in favor of employees.
This is a family run company with lots of family in management. There was a family member overseeing payroll who had no experience with payroll. This is a company that does not value the strategic nature of HR or their employees. The CEO of Day Wireless stated that "without a company, there would be no employees." He has that backwards. Without employees, there would be no company.
I prepared for the interview, but none of the 10 people I met with in person had bothered to prepare at all. It's clear that the executive team, HR and Payroll teams do not value the interview process or appreciate the time that it takes to prepare and engage in such a process in an effective manner. They were literally just making up questions to kill time. Most of them did not even bring paper to write on, and the ones that did, did not take any notes. What did they base their decisions on? Your guess is as good as mine.

How would you handle people who are tardy every day? How do you feel about flexible working arrangements? How do you feel about not working remotely? Are you on the employer's side or the employee's side?
