Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela Decision Tech (Londres, Inglaterra) em dez. de 2020
Entrevista
Applied through a recruiter. There were lots of rounds but it didn't feel that way because of how short each round was, and how quick Decision Tech were to give feedback!
First round was a quick phone call with the Head of Development. It didn't go into too much depth - just a general chat about my work history and reasons for applying.
Second round was a take-home coding challenge. Vanilla JS based - adding functionality to a made up FE framework.
Third round involved reviewing the take-home challenge with a developer from Decision Tech, and then pair-programming to implement more functionality and unit tests.
Forth round was a chat with the Head of Development (again) and a non-technical manager. This covered some higher-level (architectural) technical concepts, and ways of working.
Fifth and Sixth rounds were apparently a formality. The fifth round involved talking with the CTO, again talking about why I applied at Decision Tech, what I enjoyed about programming, work history etc. Sixth round was a chat with someone from HR. Both of these were quite relaxed.
All things considered I had a very positive experience. Decision Tech was very efficient throughout the process and left a very positive impression on me. I was offered a role, but the only reason I declined was because I had an offer elsewhere that was more suited to my personal situation. It was a difficult choice to make!

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you have disagreed with a decision someone else has made? How did you handle it?

Three stage interview, telephone screening, tech exercise, final face 2 face.
I was given a technical exercise, develop a filtering system that filters a broadband list, using JS/ES6.
Although my solution correctly worked to their specification, it was rejected on the basis of being “unreadable” and “complex” despite the inclusion of comments for the code implemented.
Baffled at the feedback, I then chased them for a more constructive feedback, feedback indicating the right technique or providing a “satisfactory answer”, so I could fully understand where the faults were. Although promised, unfortunately either DecisionTech or Eurobase (the recruitment agency), have not responded, and ceased to reply to my emails, yet alone my request.
After reading previous interview feedback from others on glassdoor users, I discovered this has happened before. I hope DecisionTech’s intensions are good, as it known such acts can be deemed fraudulent; having candidates complete their work and reject their application without constructive feedback.

What are the differences between a promise and an observable?
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on our interview process and for completing our technical test. It’s unfortunate that you did not receive enough feedback on the completion of your submission. We try to give back comprehensive feedback to all candidates, sometimes this can be filtered or changed by recruitment agencies. We wish you good luck in your job search.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took around 3 weeks. I interviewed at broadbandchoices.co.uk in July 2016.
3 stages:
1. Phone screening with Senior Project Manager. I was asked to answer a few UX related questions about a website as well as my design process and experience.
2. Interview with UX Designer, Lead Designer, Senior Project Manager and Senior Product Manager.
I was given to complete a task prior to the interview. During the interview, I presented my approach, process, and solution of the task as well as had a chat about my experience, portfolio, design thinking, and design process.
3. Interview with CEO, Head of HR and Product Engineering Director.
The last stage of the interview was about cultural fit, motivation and communication skills.
