The interview process for the Salesforce Developer position was generally straightforward and not overly challenging. The questions mainly covered basic Salesforce topics such as data models, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other core platform concepts. However, I found it somewhat confusing that there was a strong focus on data model design and frontend development, despite the role being positioned as a backend developer role. This emphasis appeared to have a direct impact on the assessment of seniority and compensation. Based largely on the level of LWC knowledge, the proposed title was lowered and the offered salary was significantly below expectations. This felt misaligned, especially considering that the actual responsibilities discussed later included backend-heavy tasks such as integrations, B2B Commerce, and Apex development. Overall, while the interview itself was smooth, the evaluation criteria and resulting offer did not fully reflect the nature of the backend-focused work expected in the role.
