Very poor experience.
I took my first call with DemandFactor sometime in January. The call went well, pretty conversational, I would say I enjoyed it overall.
My second call was a week or so later with a fractional CMO. Again, the call was very nice, they had great questions, and I really enjoyed it.
This is the point where things took a turn. I wouldn't hear much from them at this point. I would check in every so often confirming my interest and asking for a status update. They almost always asked for more time, which I was more than happy with as it confirmed I was still in the process. After a few weeks I got an email saying how much positive feedback I had received from the panel and that I would be moving on to the next stage. At this point I was given instructions to make deck that gave context to how I would handle the role, the strategy and some high level tactics I would deploy. I spent a few hours preparing the deck and sent it over to them within a day or two. They did not respond. I checked in multiple times just asking for them to confirm that they received the deck.
I endured radio silence for weeks until someone finally reached out to me saying they were traveling and needed some time to respond. I let them know that its totally fine, I really just wanted to confirm that the deck that I spent hours on was received. And that was the last I ever heard from them. I have no idea if they even looked at the deck.
It's funny how often interview panels will go on and on about how great their culture is, how well everyone treats each other, how kind everyone is to each other. When given the opportunity to show how much respect they have for others they can't even manage to respond to someone saying that the deck was received.
Today, the role is still posted on their site, leading me to question if the role is even real. I would recommend avoiding this company unless you are looking for some practice making decks that nobody will ever look at.
