This role is supposed to be a regulatory and technical role based in Singapore, where the language of business is English, but the interviewer started out requesting for the interview to be conducted in Mandarin. Of course, this automatically puts many Singaporeans at a disadvantage and could even be discriminatory and unfair hiring practice. For a professional role that deals with compliance with Singapore's financial regulations, there is no good reason for spoken Mandarin to be a requirement. Perhaps the company is over-represented by employees that do not speak English well, or maybe they are just recruiting more of their own kind from a very populous country in Asia. It is best to avoid this company. There is no need to help them manage their wealth.

It was mainly about past work experiences. The interviewer did not seem knowledgeable about the domain area they are hiring for.
