Entrevista
Wow. So I have had a pretty unfavorable experience interviewing with DigitalOcean. It's a pity because I really like their product and I would have loved the opportunity to work there. But so far out of three interviews I have shown up for, two of those times no one on the DO side showed.
The first time was with the recruiter, who emailed me 5 minutes in the say there were a lot of "fires" to put out and he needed to reschedule. We never rescheduled.
I applied a second time, heard from the same recruiter and filled out my availability. We had a 20 minute call where he was pretty unprofessional, couldn't answer any questions about the team I would be joining, and only could relay how the team was a mess at the moment.
Almost out of morbid curiosity I agreed to continue to the next step, this time with the hiring manager. I entered my availability, got an invite with a link to follow. This time, the hiring manager didn't show.
At this point I am no longer interested in working here. The candidate experience is beyond a mess, and if this is how you treat your potential employees I can only imagine how you treat your current ones.

The recruiter didn't ask any questions, he gave an overview of the benefits. He said that my experience was good enough, but I'm not sure how he knew that since he didn't ask anything to determine that.

Entrevista
The interview process was relaxed, and everyone was very professional, honest, and friendly. I wish there was more context about the particular teams I would be managing, and how many teams.

Entrevista
Overall it went well, it was fast, and the recruiter, answered all of my questions almost immediately which is always a good thing for a recruiter. On the other hand, the documents to sign are not really clear, and I had to sign some documents twice because they had wrong information, so at some point this can discourage the people since you cannot rely in the given information in the first place, besides that all of it was really good!

Entrevista
After applying I was contacted by a technical recruiter, they clearly set expectations for the process of interviewing and hiring, gathered my information and desires and did an initial screening fit for the role.
From there I interviewed with the hiring manager, did a take home assessment, met with team members, people operations, a peer and executives for additional culture and skills interviews. Each had their own area of focus and was able to give me deeper insights into the role and environment.
After interviews i met with the recruiter and aligned expectations about an offer and its contents. They hit the numbers i wanted and terms to join so i accepted.
