The first round was with HR the screening went well. After a week Manager round interview . Post that was given a case study to solve . The case study was ambiguous as to how much time should be spent and how detailed analysis I should be doing. After spending over 4-5 hrs I submitted the case study a day before my technical round. During the technical round I walked through my case study and the interview actually went well with no follow up questions on data or forecast assumptions. Except for a minor suggestion for which the interviewer agreed no data was provided . Few hours after the interview I receive a generic response that I am not selected with out any explanation. I think this is unfair as I spent a lot of time preparing for the interview and case study. Understand not everyone gets the job but specify the reason of not being selected if you expect the candidates to do a 4-5hrs case study. I think they already had a candidate in mind and just WASTED my time during this process.
