Recruiter screen, hiring manager interview, take-home assignment, etc. Recruiter was pretty standard, though didn't instill much confidence in the organization of the company. Hiring manager discussion was fine, though a bit abrupt. The take-home assignment was pretty vague and lacked clear criteria for expectations. (Time commitment, format, etc)

I was contacted by a recruiter who took forever to get back to me after I replied to her email. She said she missed my email when I responded. We finally had a phone screen, and we talked about salary, which was in my range. She said she would get back to me. I heard nothing for a month, and then all of a sudden it's "how soon can you talk to the hiring manager"? I told her I felt like I wasn't being valued by the company at this point, and she assured me things would move quickly from there on out. I interviewed with the hiring manager, and she said she would send me a writing test, which was being sent to the other candidates. I asked her why it had taken so long for them to get back in touch with me, and she said it had to do with a candidate not working out. I took the writing test, and she said she would pass it along to the team and let me know from there. I heard absolutely nothing back. This was a complete waste of time over a six week span.
