Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 2 meses. Fui entrevistado pela DoorDash (New York, NY) em nov. de 2024
Entrevista
The recruiter reached out and a data takehome & SQL add-on (it took me a whole weekend). The recruiter scheduled the first round with the hiring manager and then canceled the position before the interview. Then they showed me two other positions to interview for, asked me to prepare several "doordash values" which sounded like exactly same with Amazon LPs but with less structures and case questions. One position was filled again during the process. Then, in the final round, two director-level people, many more valuable questions were asked, plus case questions. After a week I was told they chose another candidate. Overall, it is very time-consuming, and they don't respect your time. They just select whatever the best for them by interviewing a lot of people

Process took about a month. Had a 30 mins phone screen with recruiter, then video call with HR, then live case study assessment with a team member, then a take home assessment to submit in 48 hours which test your data analytics and reporting skills. Didn't move forward after that. It is very thorough and every response you give must be backed with data else it is of no value to them.

Walk me through a time you brought in a new strategy. What was it, why, and how did it go?

I’ve interviewed for three different positions at DoorDash, and each experience has been frustrating and inconsistent. For one role, the process was abruptly halted midway because they extended an offer to someone else. Why wouldn’t they wait to see if that person even accepted the offer before stopping the process?
For another position, I made it to the final round, which I thought went extremely well, only to receive a generic automated rejection a week later. It feels like they conduct interviews just to collect ideas or benchmark talent rather than genuinely seeking to hire.
DoorDash seems notorious for wasting candidates' time and not valuing the effort put into their extensive interview processes. Based on my experiences, I would caution others to consider whether it’s worth the time and energy to engage with their recruitment team.
