I started with a phone interview with Samina where she asked me basic questions about my background and experience. She rushed me into coming for an interview the next day and I told her I can come the day after. I went to the interview and it was kind of weird because she was just asking the same questions she asked during the phone interview. Then, I met with one of the teammates and she didn’t even read my resume beforehand (I know that because she told me) so she was just asking questions about my past work experiences. Then, I met with the CEO and he was really nice and I had a great conversation with him. Overall, the interviews with each person went well (at least I thought).
What happened after the interview was unacceptable. After the interview, I followed up with each person and said thank you. I didn’t get a response. I didn’t think too much of it since some interviewers just don’t respond. But then a week passed by and I followed up again and got no response. Another week passed and I followed up and got no response. Till this day (3 months later) they have not responded to me. It is completely disrespectful to ghost someone. It is common decency to update candidates regardless of what the outcome may be. It doesn’t matter whether it was the candidate’s fault for not getting the job. Maybe I wasn’t qualified for the job. But that is no excuse to ghost me. Candidates spend time (and money) to get to the location, prepare for the interview, spend time chatting with you, and Drobo took that for granted. Don’t waste your time applying here. Drobo clearly doesn’t care about its candidates, I doubt they care about their employees. You would be better off spending your time applying elsewhere and actually getting a response. I feel absolutely disrespected by Drobo. The way they handled this situation reflects their values (or lack thereof).
