I didn't even get to the interview, even after the job poster reached out to me directly to request a time. Having past automotive experience for more than 5 years, an extensive customer service/sales background, and business operations management, I felt that I would be a good fit for the position. Within a few days of applying, I got an email response from the job poster (whom I will not mention by name) stating that they were very interested in speaking with me about the position, giving my background, and proposed a few times. I replied back immediately with a time and waited. I received no reply and ultimately no call. I then called the dealership, within the next two days, to ask for the employee that reached out to me but left a message. I sent a follow up email in reply to their original outreach but didn't get a response. It was that weekend, I believe, about a week later that I called again as soon as they opened. I was connected to the individual I had been trying to reach only to be told that they were still reviewing applications and didn't have any of that info in front of them. I mentioned that they had reached out to me for an interview that never happened. I was then asked if I had worked in a dealership before and while I had, it was not exactly in the capacity that they are looking for. I was told that they would go back and review my resume since I called but after 3 weeks I still haven't heard anything back and I don't expect to.
