I interviewed at this company in early June of 2023. The initial step was a phone interview with the recruiter, who was unfortunately late to the meeting. During the call, we delved deeper into the role's details. After successfully passing the phone screening, I was invited for an in-person interview a few days later with the head of technology. During this meeting, we discussed my resume and relevant skills in relation to the position. Additionally, they informed me about a take-home assessment I would need to complete if they decided to move forward with my application. A week later, I received an invitation to complete the take-home assessment, which turned out to be quite complex. It was a project that closely resembled the type of work they do at the company. The assessment involved working on a challenging algorithm, and although there was no compensation for the effort, they expected the work to be executed to perfection. Regrettably, I dedicated two days to complete this project. Despite the difficulty, I managed to pass the assessment and was granted a final interview with the CEO. This seemed very exploitative so beware. During the interview with the CEO, I encountered some concerning aspects. The CEO arrived approximately 5 minutes late and displayed a tendency to frequently interrupt me mid-sentence. Moreover, the questions asked were often unrelated to the role and felt intrusive, delving into my personal life, among other uncomfortable topics. The interview felt more like an interrogation, leaving me feeling uneasy. The CEO informed me that their decision would be communicated by the end of the week. However, disappointingly, I never received any follow-up from the company. Despite investing time and effort throughout the lengthy interview process, I was completely ghosted. This experience serves as a warning for others to be cautious when dealing with this company and to keep your expectations very low. P.S. They record every conversation (video/audio)
