      Entrevista

      Recently applied via LinkedIn and was emailed directly from the HR Manager who reached out over the phone to schedule an in person interview. Overall the interview itself was a conversational one where you could definitely tell that the guy was probing for personality and not actual experience or skill set. The young man that interviewed me was extremely inexperienced in interviewing. I was shocked at the lack of depth to his questions and the fact that he openly admitted that he had not even looked at my resume prior to the interview. The entire interview lasted about three minutes and would've been shorter had I not pushed him to ask more questions about my professional background, career experience, leadership and/or management skills etc. This young man also seemed very uninterested from the moment I reached out to shake his hand which set the tone for the entire interview. I read someone else's review and felt compelled to share my similar experience with interviewing with this company. Honestly, as an experienced professional, I got the impression that they were making decisions based off of appearance and what you seemed to do in your off time. Also, after further investigation, realized how young their management is here and how low staffed they are which kind of helped put things into perspective because it showed in this interview. Worst interview I've ever experienced. The young man who conducted the interview recently got promoted to management and I was like wait a minute that's the icing on the cake...he wasn't even a hiring manager...no way he could've been...which explained a lot. Stay away from this company. The interview is a waste of gas and time.

      Reviewer, First, thank you for the time you invested in our interview process. Though it was not a great fit professionally, feedback is always valued. This a sales job, so personality and charisma are vital to having a great sales career. We focus a lot on teamwork and team development by hosting a lot of team events and leadership development activities, so we always like to confirm that a potential candidate is a good fit for our corporate culture. As you recall, we mentioned we have 3 step interview processes -- the first being a brief preliminary interview to get to know the candidate on a fundamental level and make sure our goals are aligned. To explain the position and what we do as a company during our preliminary interview averages 8-10 minutes and the other half of the interview is open for dialogue based on what questions the candidate comes prepared with. At DMA, we believe in a merit-based business, where the capacity of growth is measured and rewarded based on self-development not the numerical years of experience. We are perplexed as to why you thought DMA is low staffed, as we recently expanded into multiple offices across the Charlotte region with multiple Fortune 500 clients. The gentlemen that conducted the interview was part of our hiring and management team. His recent promotion was to one of our expansion offices (again growing)! His recent promotion to market manager is a substantial promotion. Again, though the position wasn't a mutual fit, we respect your time and opinion, Best of luck in your future endeavors!
