Recieved a phonecall from the in-house recruitment team that said I was the only candidate they were interested in interviewing for the role. The story given was that the senior figure in the department was given 4 or 5 CVs and only chose mine to go forward with. I was then under the expectation that only I was being interviewed for the role. The interview itself was fairly straight forward and held over zoom. Basic interview questions as well as a conversation with another member of the compliance team. From that point on I had total radio silence from the comany, I reached out on different platforms about an update of the outcome. Believing I was the only candidate they were interviewing for the role, it did not make sense why it was taking so long to get a response. When a repsonse finally came after five working days (plus the weekend), I was rejected and with the reasoning that they had limited office space.
