I received an email and voicemail from a recruiter who found my resume on indeed.com. After talking to him about my skills & career outlook and learning more about the firm & what they look for in their Revit Designers, he encouraged me to apply to the position. I was invited to an interview; they requested I submit examples of my previous work. Within a week a video Teams call was scheduled with 3 VPs for Friday. I appreciated that they were willing to stay on the call longer than the allotted hour to allow time for me to ask questions. I received a call from one of the VPs 3-hours after the interview adjourned/around 7pm asking if I was available the upcoming Monday or Tuesday for an in-person interview. I wasn't able to modify my schedule on short notice nor was I willing to break previous commitments and requested other days available. She received permission from me to pass along my contact information to the CEO/Managing Principal to coordinate schedules directly. The CEO/Managing Principal calls me the next day, Saturday morning. I returned his call the following Monday morning; interview scheduled for that Friday. The in-person interview was with the CEO/Managing Principal and one Revit Designer. I appreciated that they included someone in the role in the interview and the opportunity to meet everyone else at the office. I received a call from the recruiter the following Wednesday that they not moving forward with me and are continuing to consider other candidates because my career goals are not aligned with the firms' needs. Everyone I met was friendly and professional. I respect and agree with the decision that this would not be a good fit for me long term. This role would be suitable for someone who works well in a chatty office, adapts to changes at short notice, willing to put in long hours and unbothered by text/call/email communication during evenings/weekends.

Easy and thorough, they spoke more about what the company does more than anything. They just needed someone right away to fill in the position. I enjoyed the interview very much, because the interviewer was very friendly and not so strict.
