My interview process was largely positive. The whole process took about two months, starting in December 2021. While it seemed like a long time, it actually wasn't, especially considering the holiday break.
After responding to the job posting on LinkedIn, I spoke with a recruiter from a talent agency. The recruiter was wonderful, shepherding me through the entire process. He asked me to provide additional information, highlighting my relevant experience, skills, and knowledge. I think providing more detailed information was very helpful. From my understanding, the hiring manager was excited to discuss the job opportunity with me, given my background.
Then, I spoke with the hiring manager. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with brilliant people. And it was immediately obvious to me that I was talking to another brilliant person. In addition, I found myself getting really excited about the position he was describing. Finally, he was honest about what to expect next. He wanted me to talk to other team members, and that if anyone felt that I would not be a good fit, then it would not work out. These meetings, however, went very well!
Finally, it was necessary to pass a cognitive aptitude test. To be honest, it was a little intimidating at first. But after further reflection, it became a challenge that I wanted to surmount. Therefore, I started preparing for the test. For anyone taking this test, I recommend purchasing a test preparation course, such as https://www.udemy.com/course/ccat-real-practice-tests-criteria-cognitive-aptitude-test/. I found this course highly effective in preparing me for the real thing.
