I applied through Easy Apply on LinkedIn and got a call for an interview. It is a new stupid startup with only 30 people on their team. The HR booked a round of phone interviews for 30 minutes but took 1 hour to talk & kept laughing in between. It was so unprofessional, she used to do some sales/ or nonrecruiting work and got into HR and now selecting candidates even though she doesn't have a background in recruitment. She went away in between to open the doors of their office as they did not have enough staff to handle the front desk. She kept talking about her personal life in between and said they got a good number of candidates to choose from like 70 candidates and some of them had 10 years of experience. I was shocked as this was an associate-level position. She asked me several questions related to my background and I answered them all in relevance to the job and in STAR methodology. She was taking notes about what I was talking then was supposed to submit those with no professional HR tool. I was forced to say a salary range, which I then asked her and even she skipped the question. Post that the next round was going to be next week and I was ghosted. And 4 weeks later got a reject. Don't waste your time in this stupid one-room company.
