Candidatei-me de outra forma. O processo levou 2 meses. Fui entrevistado pela Econify em set. de 2022
Entrevista
1. Phone screen
2. Technical interview with 2 SWE
3. Take home challenge
4. Discuss the project with 2 SWE
5. Cultural Interview
I recently interviewed with Econify and had a similar experience as another candidate mentioned on Glassdoor. The interview process was standard, including a take-home project and a presentation with documentation. During my cultural interview, I was told to expect a written offer.
However, after sending a follow-up thank you email and receiving no response, I reached out again a week later to inquire about an update. That's when I was informed that the offer was given to someone else because my salary expectation was too high, despite indicating my willingness to negotiate. I would advise caution when discussing compensation expectations if you get to this part of the interview process. This lack of communication and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, especially after dedicating so much time and effort into the interview process.
It's important for companies to treat candidates with compassion and respect, and Econify's behavior in this matter is unacceptable as this is not the first time they have done this. I hope they improve their communication with future candidates, as interviewing takes valuable time and energy and it's only fair to be treated like a human being.
During the interview, I found some of the interviewers to be quite personable and easy to talk to. However, I was taken aback when I was asked about my age and where I'm from. These questions felt like a form of discrimination to me. It's not appropriate to ask someone their age or where they're from during an interview, as it has nothing to do with their qualifications for the job. I couldn't help but feel that this type of questioning was an attempt to discriminate against me based on my age and/or where I'm from. It left a sour taste in my mouth and made me question the company's values and commitment to diversity and inclusion. As a job seeker, I expect to be judged solely on my qualifications and experience, not on my age or where I'm from. It's disappointing to experience discrimination during the interview process and it makes me question if this is a company where I would want to work.
