Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 2 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Egress Software Technologies (Toronto, ON) em out. de 2019
Entrevista
First I did a basic over the phone interview and described a little about my past experiences. Then I was invited for a face to face interview. The interview was roughly two and a half hours long and was very technical. I answered lots of technical questions and did some coding exercises.

I interviewed over a year ago . I talked to two lead developers about my general experience and during the conversation I let them know I had not had a great deal of experience writing tests. Boy that proved to be a big mistake. They rejected my application because they felt I would need a lot of support which apparently they couldn’t offer. As a senior developer at the time I was slightly in shock at their lack of confidence in me, given my vast experience. Fast forward to over a year later. As a lead developer managing a team of four, I can confidently say tests are easy to learn and write and I would definitely not turn down a good developer who may be lacking in that area. When you’re a junior you’re expected to learn a lot very quickly, but when you get to a senior for some reason some developers think you can no longer learn new things. It’s absolute hogwash and comes across as developers going on ego trips. Anyway, I’m so glad I didn’t get the job because that lack of confidence can be harmful in a developer progressing in their career.
