The process took 5 days. The interview was easy as we went over my resume and how I would be a good fit for this role. Also, they just wanted to get to know me better as a person.

Entrevista
I had applied online then soon after received a call for a face to face interview with a HR recruiter. Standard hiring process right.... WRONG. Met with their HR recruiter and I thought I nailed the interview and I was brought over to meet the hiring Manager. She did most of the talking so I was not able to sell my skills or describe my contribution. Fast forward a month and my submission of weekly email follow-ups to be told "We are still interviewing other applicants and you are still in consideration blah blah blah". I was even gullible enough to submit 5 references. These 5 individuals (mostly former managers) took time out of their busy schedule to answer 30 questions about me. Oy fey....WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. ELDERPLAN here's a tip: when you begin the process of checking references please have the courtesy to all your candidates by making your hiring decision first. I withdrew my application 3 weeks after waiting...waiting.....waiting to accept another job offer. If you enjoy wasting your time then yes, by all means apply if you value your time than stay far away. This place is not worth it. I finally heard back from them after 7 weeks of waiting.... and waiting... waiting only to be told that some random person had accepted the position. Mazel tov to this person.

Red flags
- when your job title is preceded with Assistant indicates there is too much emphasis job titles.
- The recruiter that set up the interview left the company, so I went through another interview with a new recruiter in the first hour. She asked all the questions that the hiring manager should have asked.
- I also had to produce a "writing sample" - I asked for specifics of what they were looking for, the response was so vague. It really wasn't necessary since all I would be doing was handling complaints. On that note, the job description doesn't match what you would actually be doing - according to the AVP.
- The interview with the assistants was so awkward, the AVP did all the talking and it felt like she was trying to find every reason why I wasn't qualified for the job vs. what I could bring to the table. I left the interview feeling very belittled.
- I immediately withdrew my candidacy afterward. I highly doubt they were going to extend an offer anyway but I really got an idea of the culture of the company (or at least in that department) and it wasn't pleasant.
Overall, an awkward experience. No surprise the position is still posted, I'd be interested to see if any more people interviewed for the job and their experience.
I also know the other person looked me up on LinkedIn prior to the interview as well, and we worked at the same prior company , so I sensed there were some preconceived notions that she may have relayed to the AVP. I don't know her and she doesn't know me, so that too was a pitfall.
