      Applied September 2022. Had recruiter phone screen in early November. Had hiring manager interview end of November. Did a full round of interviews (6!!) with stakeholders in mid-December. Up to this point, things went okay. The recruiter was not great at providing updates when she said she would. During the interview round, one of the people that was supposed to be on my interview rounds was MIA. Another had to reschedule. I remained flexible and moved my schedule around to ensure I could make things as easy as possible. One of the people I interviewed with had their children interrupting multiple times within the short interview. I have kids myself so I understand and I appreciate that EA supports working parents, but it was so distracting it felt like there was not opportunity to even have a full conversation - and like the interview wasn't the focus. Despite all this, I was excited about joining the team and very interested in the role. EA had their holiday shutdown and I was told I'd hear something in early January. By mid-January, I was told the decision was on hold until the end of the 1st quarter. I had heard EA was having some layoffs so figured they were waiting until then to decide whether to fill or not. While considering other positions, I emailed the recruiter in early March to see if she had any updates and received no response. I reached out to a recruiting coordinator in early April to see if there was any update. I found out several weeks later the recruiter who I'd been in contact with was laid off at the end of March (so no reason not to receive a response from the recruiter). I was passed along to the Recruiting Manager, who has yet to respond to my email after two weeks. I have no problem if I wasn't selected, or the position wasn't being filled - but don't put candidates through multiple hours of interviews only to string them along and then ghost entirely. Especially when the role is a People role - I know what it's like being on the hiring end and the candidate end, and that's just bad form.

      Very disorganized and inconsistent. People are busy, and things may unexpectedly come up, so it’s not unusual that an interview may, at some point need to be rescheduled. Yet, when it happens multiple times, it indicates something is amiss. “If things get rescheduled, let’s say twice, and they want to reschedule a third time, that’s it. That’s too much,”
