Entrevista
I had two interviews with this company in 2016. The first interview was with Brooke I think? I also interacted with Whitney and Marissa. My resume was very specific. I was applying for Event Management jobs (that is also what their job posting was presented as). I came from managing corporate events and weddings as well as overseeing trade show logistics.
I also expressed this clearly in my initial interview with Brooke. She was very kind and encouraging. She thought I would be a great fit, sold the position as though I would be managing corporate events for various brands etc.
She went on to provide me an on-site interview for a different day with one of their current team members to see if I would be a good fit. She gave me the address and I typed it in. When I arrived to that address, it was a Sam's Club. I was very confused but thought maybe it was a team event for their staff. Upon meeting their Event Manager, I was told more about the position.
The position was not anything like what that was reflected in the job description and was definitely not what was described during my first interview. Instead, it was a complete sales position. They had a table set up with a hair straightener and basically the job was to talk to customers who were shopping and get to know what they use for their hair routine, let them check out the product and ideally, sell them on it.
Although everyone I interacted with on their team was kind and friendly, I felt extremely frustrated that they knew the type of job I was seeking out and still wasted my time to try and get me to work for them doing product sales for brands.
Seeking out job opportunities is time consuming as it is between applying, interviewing etc. My job experience was very clear as were my goals. Brooke told me they encourage their team members to seek growth and eventually run their own business but instead it was really a bate and switch.
It is so important that employers are clear about what exactly they are wanting to hire for and if those goals do not align with the applicant, be clear. It was not only a waste of their time hoping I would be convinced to join, but it wasted my time as the applicant.

Met with two employees, one senior, one entry-level. They were very energetic and peppy, and I loved the company at first. "Marketing" turned out to be walking around home improvement stores and popping-up tables to display new products. None of it made sense after awhile. They wanted a second day of on-the-floor experience and training. I declined.

It seemed like a very professional work environment but the job described at the interview is very different than the one advertised online. You are basically offering product samples at various locations such as Costco... pays very little and there doesn't seem to be any opportunity for growth beyond that. It was enjoyable to learn about their business but not a desirable career opportunity for me.
