      Disheartening Candidate Experience at Emma My recent encounter with Emma left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. As someone who values transparency and genuine human connection, I was appalled by the misalignment between the company's purported values and its actual practices. I saw the job on LinkedIn, I attempted to reach out to Emma's representatives on the platform to clarify certain details such as the status of the job opening and salary information. However, despite multiple attempts, I received no response. Undeterred, I proceeded with the application process, only to be met with further dismay. Instead of the expected telephone screening for a senior role, I was immediately directed to complete a personality and cognitive assessment. While I complied with the assessment, confident in my abilities, I was left baffled when I received an abrupt rejection email shortly afterward, devoid of any explanation or feedback. This experience left me questioning Emma's commitment to being a people-centric organisation. It's evident that the company lacks empathy and fails to recognise the significance of candidate experience in shaping its brand reputation. If this is the standard treatment prospective employees can expect, then it raises serious doubts about the company's values and culture. Regrettably, I cannot in good conscience recommend Emma as an employer to anyone seeking a humane and respectful work environment. Perhaps this is a place better suited for automated processes rather than human interaction. Assessment are not first thing screening tools to handle high volume, it is lazy way of conducting business. Strong well trained recruiter shortlist strong candidates and speak to them.
