      Entrevista para Account Manager

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 3 dias. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Empire Consulting Group (MN) (Eagan, MN).

      Entrevista

I put a resume on the internet and was reached out to via an HR representative. Went in the next day for an interview. The interview process was odd - very vague, no answers were given. I inquired about base pay and was told not to worry about that because I'll be selling so much it won't matter. When I pushed and asked for the rate just so I have an idea I was again told not to worry about it. I asked what they do and how they're funded I was told it was general consulting work. I was asked back the next day for a second interview and already had made my mind up this position was probably not for me. I thought I'd give it another shot and at least get some answers. This job is standing in a Wal Mart with a clip board wearing a polo that says Direct TV bothering people who are just there to shop. Sure, all your interactions are face to face and one on one, but these are not willing or excited clients. Your work hours will be Wednesday - Sunday form 11 - 8 and on top of that you have to attend mandatory team building time. Asking how the company was started and how the partnerships were formed yielded some unsatisfactory answers. The "owner" and "president" has very little power regarding high level decision making. They are told what to do by their parent company and are expected to hire as many "Account Managers" aka sales staff to do their bidding. If you are a person who enjoys bothering people who are shopping then this is probably a fit for you, but there are better positions out there for nearly anyone. There are no benefits and only pressure to sell products to people who are very disinterested and annoyed with you. You will read from a script and talk poorly about other companies.

      Pergunta 1

There weren't really any interview questions asked. Very unstructured and downright weird. At one point in the second interview the "president" said "Hold on for a second, let me think about something" then....3 minutes later....after saying nothing and me saying nothing....offered me a job. After having asked me NO QUESTIONS ABOUT SALES.
