Initially I sent an email to the company, seeing they are hiring Online English Teachers. In a couple of days I received an e-mail from one of their employees that I should schedule an appointment on a third-party website and the skype contact I should add for the interview as well as the requirements (headset, webcam and stable internet connection). I scheduled an appointment and received another e-mail confirming the time. Another e-mail an hour before the actual interview (Automatic response notification). I got the call on time, he introduced himself briefly and asked me to introduce myself, asked me a few questions about my education, employment history and so on and a few basic questions on English grammar and a very basic vocabulary test (I had to describe a meaning of a word as if to a beginner). The interview lasted 20 min in total and after that I received another e-mail describing the next step of the process which is training and further screening as well as directions to get familiarized with the material etc., and the basic terms of the contract (which I didn't sign at this time) like the pay and certain incentives. This next stage was scheduled two week after this initial interview. During the second stage there were a dozen candidates who joined in a skype conference call and were instructed how they should conduct their lessons, which was also given in the prior e-mail. After this we had two trial lessons with students of 15 min each, with a 15min break in between. I failed during my second trial lesson because of "poor time management" (I ended the class 2 min early) and was sent for rescheduling. The second time I passed both trial sessions without a complaint and was sent an e-mail describing the requirements for my online profile (Pictures, introductory video, bank information for payment). It took a couple of weeks to open my profile, even though I sent the pictures and the video and information for my profile. When my profile was opened I got the e-mail describing the login details for the company website and the skype account they have created for me, in a separate e-mail I got the contract and I was able to begin my job. The contract was sent by the Singapore branch of the company.
