The interviewers asked perfunctory questions and seemed a bit jaded about hiring. They seemed more interested in “gotcha” questions rather than sincerely interested in the professional background of jobseekers and I perceived them as mistrusting applicants. There were no opportunities for advancement described, suggesting that this position may be a dead end. Overall, the interviewers and I did not develop a rapport. To give them the benefit of the doubt, though, it may have been an off day.
