I had a phone interview with a recruiter. It went really well, and the recruiter called a few days later to schedule a video interview with the hiring manager. The manager only offered one time slot (for the very next afternoon), and I let the recruiter know that I would not be able to make that time because of a mandatory work meeting. The recruiter said she would let the hiring manager know. Later, the recruiter told me the hiring manager was not willing to add another time to their schedule in order to interview me so I could take it or leave it. I had never heard of a company only giving one day and time option for interviews. It let me know that the manager was inflexible and had no compassion or respect for others. Most people cannot afford to blow off their present work responsibilities and need some options in order to make an interview possible. It was very eye opening to the type of culture and management at Envoy Air (in their HR department of all places).
