Great up until the day of the interview. Interviewers are herded into a room all together for a group interview. Interviewers were very congenial but were clearly not seasoned HR people. The candidates ranged from fast-food workers to student pilots to retired law enforcement and, of course, insiders from American Airlines. They were clearly not well-vetted and it was at this time that it was evident that this was a waste of time for everyone except for the insiders which is my biggest complaint. Very unprofessional screening process. About 15 people had to take the day off and spend $10 for parking and gasoline to come to an interview where they were going to choose one person, most obviously the insider... which is what happened. It is very disrespectful when this type of candidate pool is trying to make ends meet. Don't waste our time to show that you considered all these other candidates - just do individual interviews for the few people you intend to hire. American Airlines, you can do better.

Group interview with myself and 5 other candidates, along with the manager and supervisor. It was a basic group interview with introductions and answering basic questions. I did like that they split the questions and didn't ask everyone the same question.
