I applied online but also had a contact with a college recruiter (who came to our campus; Epic also really enjoys small liberal arts colleges, and hires all majors), so I had let her know when I completed the application. They get a lot of applicants so they screen people out at every step of the process - they get back to you quickly and are professional about it. A few days later I got an email from HR asking me to complete another online application, which was basically a more comprehensive version of the first application. The next week I had a phone interview with a current project manager. The conversation lasted about 30 minutes and was very very relaxed, it was really more of a guided conversation than anything else. Have your resume in front of you and have a couple experiences you want to talk about. I was then put through to the next round of personality tests (the Rembrandt) and standardized assessments. They have a technical and non-technical one and I took the non-technical one. There were verbal and mathematical assessments and the math one was more logic than anything else. Got the email a week later saying I had been put through to the final round of on-site interviews. They flew me out to Madison the day before and offered a host dinner. Unfortunately the weather delayed my flights and I was not able to make it but they still reimburse all your food expenses. The day was quite long with 7 time slots for different interviews/tours. I interviewed with several current project managers and some HR staff, and had a lunch (on them), a presentation, and a tour between the interviews. They asked a lot of behavioral questions (if this happened what would you do?) throughout the entire interview day and my day ended with a case study. The employees are obviously young and bright. A word of advice: The main point of focus is the doctors/patients/hospitals using the service. That is who you should focus on in your answer to any behavioral question!
