The interview process had three steps. 1) The Phone Interview This was pretty standard of most phone interviews. I spoke with a current project manager briefly about my experience, and why I would want to work for Epic. 2) The Assessments This was the worst part of the interview. These assessments were extremely time consuming. I think that these assessments may contribute to the racial makeup of the organization. It's well documented that standardized testing tends to have racial biases, so it's worrisome that this was a major part of the interview process. The test was also monitored, which is not ideal for individuals who may not have a quiet or isolated place to take the exam. 3) The Interview I interviewed during the start of the spread of Covid in the U.S., so there was no on site interview. I spoke with 2 project managers about my experience, and had the opportunity to speak with them regarding their experiences with Epic. I also had to complete a 10 minute presentation, and could not use visual aids like PowerPoiont or Prezi. The final step was a discussion with an individual from HR regarding salary and compensation expectations.
