Applied online by sending in my resume, within a few days had a phone interview that essentially boiled down to gathering more details about my career goals and an overview of the role. The next step was a proctored online assessment and that I had to register for within 24 hours of the phone interview. It was a 3-part assessment with one technical portion and two logic portions. (There was also a separate behavioral profile we had to complete). Although a lot of other interviewees have said the technical assessment was hard, it's actually fairly simple if you've had a bit of programming experience and are comfortable coding (they're all multiple choice logic questions based on a hypothetical programming language). Within 2 or 3 days of completing both the profile and assessment I was offered an on-site interview. For the on-site they flew me up to Madison, WI and covered all the travel/food/lodging expenses. Quite a few applicants interviewed at the same time as me (maybe 15 or more). The on-site interview process ran very smoothly and seemed to be almost more of a tour than an interview. We arrived early, were given an overview of Epic, a run-through of the software product we'd be working with if we received an offer, and given many opportunities to talk to/interact with both newer and older full-time employees. The actual interview parts of the day consisted of one interview with an HR representative on career goals, a pseudo-behavioural interview where we were given a scenario and asked to respond to it, and another technical assessment that was harder than the first but fairly straightforward for anyone with experience working with algorithms or data structures. Roughly a week after the on-site interview I received an offer.
