Started with a phone interview, went pretty well with basic behavioral interview questions, “describe a time when...” Then I was sent an exam to take. It was incredibly difficult, they attempt teach you a software development program and you are supposed to apply it moments later. As a long time Crotocal Care RN that has used Epic for a long time in my current role, I didn’t feel as though this year adequately judged my ability to help develop programs and contribute to an improved workflow for healthcare. Nurses, nurse practitioners are nurses because that’s how our minds work, critical thinking... nurse minds don’t “get” software development.
