Things did not work out in my favour on 25 Sept 2024 when I had an interview appointment for many reasons. I was at the bedside of a dying 95 year old friend with no family and was desperately trying to get in touch with the hiring manager via email to reschedule the interview. Unfortunately, the hiring manager was off sick and had delegated the interview to 2 junior colleagues. My friend died at 12:30 pm and as it is hard to get invites for interviews and as the interview was at 3 pm, I did dial in just in case only to find the 2 interviewers with set questions. There was no dialogue or follow up questions per se and I felt very let down and did not get the job either. Not sure what the girls made notes on and what was passed to the hiring manager. Did not get feedback either. Felt very let down.
