I was put through five rounds of interviews. The first four went very well and I felt confident in my ability to succeed in the role. The fifth interview was with the head of the department, who was not at all friendly (cold in fact) and asked very pointed questions. I never heard back. After all of that effort over the course of several weeks, I expected a follow up at the very least.
